A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO HIGHWAYS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. (a) The department of transportation shall conduct a study, which shall include:
(1) A traffic safety study from Kunia Road to Wilikina Drive; and
(2) Whether it would be feasible to install an advance warning signal at exit 5A on the H-1 freeway.
(b) The department of transportation shall submit the study required by subsection (a), which shall include its findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation, to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2017.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2030.
