A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO THE HAWAII HEALTH SYSTEMS CORPORATION.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  (a)  The auditor shall conduct a comprehensive audit of the Hawaii health systems corporation.  The audit shall include, but not be limited to, an analysis of the Hawaii health systems corporation's accounting procedures, procurement practices, and personnel and fiscal accountability.

     (b)  The auditor shall submit a report of its findings and recommendations, including any proposed legislation, to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2019.

     SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $100,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2018-2019 for the auditor to conduct a comprehensive audit of the Hawaii health systems corporation.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the office of the auditor for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2018.
