A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF ELECTIONS OPERATING BUDGET.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $789,598 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2019-2020 for the voting system contract for the 2020 election cycle.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the office of elections for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $927,200 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2020-2021 for the 2021 reapportionment and four temporary positions to provide support for the 2021 reapportionment.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the office of elections for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2019.
