A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the eleventh district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2013-2014.
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Kihei elementary school, Maui
Construction and equipment for two portable classrooms for special education students.
Construction $400,000
Equipment $400,000
Total funding $800,000
B. Kihei high school, Maui
Plans, design, and construction for a new Kihei high school.
Plans $15,000,000
Design $15,000,000
Construction $100,000,000
Total funding $130,000,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2013.
