A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to land purchase.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. (a) The department of land and natural resources shall enter into negotiations with the Weinberg Foundation to purchase the property formerly occupied by The Willows Restaurant on Hausten Street in Moiliili, Honolulu, Oahu. The negotiations may include the potential purchase of additional properties owned by the Weinberg Foundation.
(b) The department of land and natural resources shall
submit a report on the status of its negotiations, including any proposed
legislation and requested funds, to the legislature no later than twenty days
prior to the convening of the regular session of 2020.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
