RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Haley Chambers; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Haley Chambers has proven herself to be an outstanding basketball player with
dedication, determination, and drive; and
WHEREAS,
a junior at Cherokee High School, Haley made her way into the record books for
the most single-season three-pointers with 80; and
WHEREAS,
during the Lady Warrior's victory over St. Petersburg Catholic in a tournament
in Florida, Haley topped the charts again after sinking the most career
three-point baskets in this state's history with 229; and
WHEREAS,
Haley excels at her position as guard and leads and motivates her teammates on
the court; and
WHEREAS,
this stellar athlete has earned her reputation as a force to be reckoned with,
and this body looks with great anticipation to her many future accomplishments
both on and off the court.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Haley Chambers for her outstanding athletic abilities, congratulate her on her
impressive record-breaking performances, and extend to her best wishes for
future successful seasons.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Haley Chambers.
