RESOLUTION
Commending
Dr. Jesse Bradley; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Dr. Jesse Bradley is widely recognized throughout the state as the
personification of excellence in education; and
WHEREAS,
this highly respected professional educator and administrator has served with
honor and distinction as teacher, assistant principal, principal, and
superintendent in the Tattnall County School System for many years, and since
1997 as superintendent of the Griffin-Spalding County School System;
and
WHEREAS,
he believes that his continuing role as school superintendent is to act as an
instrument of inspiration and enthusiasm to his pupils and to create a positive
learning environment through the encouragement of competitive instincts in
students; and
WHEREAS,
he has announced his retirement on May 31, 2009; and
WHEREAS,
he is a shining example of the important impact that the efforts of individual
education professionals and school superintendents are making on the quality of
education received by the children of this state and it is abundantly fitting
and proper that his superlative accomplishments be recognized
appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily
and gratefully commend Dr. Jesse Bradley for his decades of sacrifice,
foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of education in Georgia
and for the positive influence he has had upon the lives and futures of
countless young people in this state; congratulate him upon the occasion of his
retirement; and extend to him their most sincere best wishes for health and
happiness in the future.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Dr. Jesse Bradley.
