RESOLUTION
Commending
the Harrison High School boys golf team; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Harrison High School boys golf team has established and maintained a proud
tradition of excellence in boys golf with equal emphases on character and
academics; and
WHEREAS,
this superlative team has completed another ultrasuccessful season of golf
competition, and, as a fitting finale to their remarkable 2008 campaign, the
team captured the Georgia High School Association's AAAAA State Championship
title; and
WHEREAS,
the phenomenal performance of the team as it earned its golf title is a clear
indication of the outstanding athletic ability, the dedication and hard work,
and the unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the team; their superbly
skillful talents; and the astute direction of Head Coach Billy Peek;
and
WHEREAS,
this magnificent team performed with precision during the season and earned its
well-deserved reputation for high standards of athletic achievement, the quality
of its play, and the stiff competition which it presented its
opponents.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
the Harrison High School boys golf team for its unparalleled achievements and
extend their sincerest best wishes for continued success in the
future.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Head Coach Billy Peek.
