A RESOLUTION


Commending and congratulating Mr. W. Barry Davis, LUTCF; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Mr. W. Barry Davis, LUTCF, began his insurance career in 1986 with American General Life and Accident Insurance Company and in 1998 formed Cornerstone Financial Services; and

WHEREAS, Barry has been a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) since 1986, providing excellent leadership and service to NAIFA Atlanta South as secretary-treasurer, professional development chairman, vice president, and president; and

WHEREAS, Barry is also a lifetime member of The Fellowship of Christian Financial Advisors; and

WHEREAS, this outstanding business and community leader believes strongly in continuing education and has been an LUTCF moderator for a number of courses throughout the years, having successfully completed LUTCF parts one and two, disability income, professional growth, and advanced sales to receive his LUTCF designation, and is series 6, 63, and 65 licensed; and

WHEREAS, Barry has earned the National Quality Award and the National Sales Achievement Award on numerous occasions, as well as other company awards; and

WHEREAS, Barry and his wife, Judy, reside in Tyrone, Georgia, and are active members of Flat Creek Baptist Church; and

WHEREAS, he has served two terms as the 2008-2009 president of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, serving from 2008 through 2010, and it is only fitting that this body commend and congratulate W. Barry Davis on this outstanding achievement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend Mr. W. Barry Davis, LUTCF, for his outstanding contributions to his community and the insurance and financial advisors industry in Georgia, congratulate him on becoming president of NAIFA-Georgia, and extend their sincere best wishes for his continued success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. W. Barry Davis, LUTCF.
