RESOLUTION
Commending
Mr. Frank Henry Schopfer; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
our nation's security continues to rely on patriotic men and women who put their
personal lives on hold in order to place themselves in harm's way to protect the
freedoms that all United States citizens cherish; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Frank Schopfer has long been recognized by the citizens of this nation for
the vital role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment
to the welfare of the citizens of the United States; and
WHEREAS,
this native son of Glynn County, Georgia, has diligently and conscientiously
served his country with honor and distinction as a member of the United States
Air Force from 1951 until 1972; and
WHEREAS,
this extraordinary man demonstrated continuously throughout his air force career
unwavering heroism, valor, and ability; and
WHEREAS,
following the conclusion of his active air force service, he diligently and
conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time, talents, and energy
toward the betterment of his state as evidenced dramatically by his 21 years of
service as a fuel oil inspector for the Department of Agriculture;
and
WHEREAS,
a cat lover at heart, he fed many a stray cat at the various gas stations he
visited during his career with the Department of Agriculture; and
WHEREAS,
this generous working man and father continues to give his time and heart to his
community, serving as a deacon at First Christian Church and raising money for
the church by collecting aluminum cans during his daily three-mile walk;
and
WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS,
his selfless and heroic actions stand as a shining tribute to the strength of
human spirit and willpower, and it is abundantly fitting and proper that the
outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished American be
recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Mr. Frank Henry Schopfer for his efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated
public service to the citizens of his country and state; offer to his family
their most profound and sincere appreciation for him and for all members of the
United States military; and extend to him their most sincere best wishes for
continued health and happiness.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Frank Henry Schopfer.
