RESOLUTION
Commending
Mary Katherine Colson, Mount Paran Christian School's Comcast Leaders and
Achievers Scholarship Recipient; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most
important objective of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
Mary Katherine Colson has shown by the example of her academic accomplishments
that the pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of
the students in this state; and
WHEREAS,
this remarkable scholar has earned distinction through her superlative
achievements at Mount Paran Christian School where she is a gifted student and
was selected as Mount Paran Christian School's Comcast Leaders and Achievers
Scholarship Recipient for 2010-2011 for her outstanding academic achievement and
her commitment to service within her community; and
WHEREAS,
she has personified the selfless dedication, mental agility, verbal adroitness,
and personal maturity necessary for superlative academic performance;
and
WHEREAS,
she is a community leader setting an example for her peers not only at Mount
Paran but everywhere she goes; and
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation toward the future of this
bright and promising young citizen.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily
commend Mary Katherine Colson for her spectacular scholastic endeavors and
community leadership and express to her their most sincere best wishes for
continued success in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mary Katherine Colson.
