RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending The Redeemed Christian Church of God-Grace Assembly and Senior
Pastor Wole Akinola-King on the occasion of the church's seventh anniversary;
and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
what began in a small worship service for a handful of people in 2003 has grown
into a gracious place of worship called The Redeemed Christian Church of
God-Grace Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
The Redeemed Christian Church of God-Grace Assembly has grown under the
direction of Senior Pastor Wole Akinola-King, who has enabled the church to
expand and spread the Word of God throughout the community; and
WHEREAS,
the congregation of this church has compiled an unparalleled record of
constructive, compassionate, and humanitarian service which it demonstrates
daily through open minds, open hearts, and open doors; and
WHEREAS,
members of The Redeemed Christian Church of God-Grace Assembly have a sincere
desire to serve the Lord and are wholeheartedly committed to spreading the
gospel of Jesus Christ; and
WHEREAS,
Senior Pastor Akinola-King has demonstrated his commitment to teaching the
Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addressing the physical,
psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs of others; and
WHEREAS,
whether the task is preparing a sermon, visiting the sick, counseling the
troubled, baptizing a new believer, or acting as a theologian, educator,
administrator, or humanitarian, Senior Pastor Akinola-King serves as a shining
example of God's righteous path; and
WHEREAS,
the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by Senior Pastor Akinola-King is a
source of strength and direction for persons in all walks of life and from all
economic strata; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message
of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for its innumerable good works
rendered on behalf of persons in need.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize
members of The Redeemed Christian Church of God-Grace Assembly as God's
Ambassadors, commend Senior Pastor Wole Akinola-King for his gracious and divine
leadership, and extend congratulations on the occasion of the church's seventh
anniversary.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Senior Pastor Wole
Akinola-King.
