A RESOLUTION


Commending Savannah King, Marietta High School's 2010 STAR Student; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most important objective of the General Assembly; and

WHEREAS, Savannah King has shown by the example of her academic accomplishments that the pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of the students in this state; and

WHEREAS, this remarkable scholar has earned distinction through her superlative achievements at Marietta High School where she was a gifted student and was selected as Marietta High School's 2010 STAR Student; and

WHEREAS, she has personified the selfless dedication, mental agility, verbal adroitness, and personal maturity necessary for superlative academic performance; and

WHEREAS, the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation toward the future of this bright and promising young citizen.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily commend Savannah King for her spectacular scholastic endeavors and express to her their most sincere best wishes for continued academic success in the future.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Savannah King.
