RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending the Joshua Project Worldwide; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
founded by Reverend Fer-Rell M. Malone, Sr., the Joshua Project Worldwide is a
state-wide coordinated collaborative tour empowering every Georgian with
information and opportunities to make healthy life choices; and
WHEREAS,
in partnership with United Healthcare, the Joshua Project Worldwide will create
a state-wide collaborative of stakeholders who share a mutual mission of
reaching the underserved with ministries, products, and services that keep the
citizens "livin on top of the world"; and
WHEREAS,
the partnership will establish a tour route designed to reach all of Georgia's
159 counties in 40 days and a schedule of activities that engages the target
population and exposes them to the opportunities available to facilitate and
implement healthy life choices in a welcoming community environment;
and
WHEREAS,
under the leadership of President Reverend Malone, the Joshua Project Worldwide
hopes to utilize events and marketing strategies designed to specifically reach
rural and urban underserved communities and populations to create an atmosphere
of inclusiveness and involvement; and
WHEREAS,
the collaborative will bring together education, media, business, arts and
entertainments, family and health, religion, and governmental authorities and
agencies; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
project be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
the Joshua Project Worldwide for its efforts in reaching underserved populations
with information and opportunities to make healthy life choices.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Joshua Project Worldwide
President Reverend Fer-Rell M. Malone, Sr.
