RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mr. Jason Flowers; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. Jason Flowers has long been recognized for the vital role that he has played
in leadership and his deep personal commitment to the welfare of children and
safe communities; and
WHEREAS,
he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time,
talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community as evidenced
dramatically by his superlative service as an executive with the Boy Scouts of
America program for the last seven years; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Flowers earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the State
University of New York at Plattsburgh and began his career in scouting in 2003
as district executive at the Twin Rivers Council in Albany, New York;
and
WHEREAS,
in 2007, Mr. Flowers moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to serve as senior district
executive with the Atlanta Area Council, serving the South Fulton County area;
and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Flowers was recently promoted to serve as development director in finance
for the Greater Pittsburgh Council in Pennsylvania; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Flowers is united in love and marriage to his wife, Kerry-Ann, has been
blessed with two remarkable daughters, Autumn and Leah, and enjoys playing pool
and dominoes, watching football, and exploring new endeavors; and
WHEREAS,
he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Flowers has served with honor and distinction with the Atlanta Area Council,
and his vision and unyielding commitment will be sorely missed upon his
departure to Pennsylvania; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished gentleman be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Mr. Jason Flowers for his efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated service
to the State of Georgia; congratulate him upon his promotion; and extend to him
their most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Jason Flowers.
