RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Dr. Kathryn K. Cheek; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Dr. Kathryn K. Cheek has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for
the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal
commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,
talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as
evidenced by her superlative service at Rivertown Pediatrics; and
WHEREAS,
an active member in her community, Dr. Cheek is president of the Georgia Chapter
of the American Academy of Pediatrics; and
WHEREAS,
it is appropriate that this body join in expressing appreciation to Dr. Cheek
for her outstanding efforts and accomplishments in health.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Dr. Kathryn K. Cheek for her sacrifice, foresight, accomplishments, and
contributions on behalf of health in Georgia and recognize her for the positive
influence she has had upon the lives and futures of the citizens in this
state.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Dr. Kathryn K. Cheek.
