BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Code Section 34-8-195 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating
to determination of eligibility for unemployment benefits generally, eligibility
while in training, and deductions and withholdings from compensation, so as to
provide that an individual receiving benefits shall not be ineligible or be
disqualified for benefits during the first two consecutive weeks of full-time
employment after the period of unemployment giving rise to such benefits; to
repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Code
Section 34-8-195 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to
determination of eligibility for unemployment benefits generally, eligibility
while in training, and deductions and withholdings from compensation, is amended
by adding a new subsection to read as follows:
"(g)
An individual receiving benefits shall not be ineligible or be disqualified for
benefits during the first two consecutive weeks of full-time employment after
the period of unemployment giving rise to such
benefits."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
