RESOLUTION
Honoring
the life and memory of Mr. Michael "Mickey" Eugene Neidenbach; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens
with the passing of Mr. Michael "Mickey" Eugene Neidenbach on January 20, 2011;
and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Neidenbach was born on September 30, 1953, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, a beloved
son of Ken and Vera Neidenbach; and
WHEREAS,
he graduated from Gainesville High School, earned a bachelor's degree from
Tulane University, and graduated from Tulane Law School; and
WHEREAS,
a long-time resident of Gainesville, Georgia, Mr. Neidenbach was an attorney
dedicated to serving the people and volunteered his time to his local Boy Scout
troops and the District Council; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Neidenbach was an avid golfer, runner, and community theater actor,
remembered for his roles as the Captain in
The Sound of
Music and the king in
The King and
I; and
WHEREAS,
he was united in love and marriage to his high school sweetheart, Beth, for 35
wonderful years, and was blessed with the support of his remarkable children,
Libby Neidenbach, John and Patty Neidenbach, and Tony Neidenbach;
and
WHEREAS,
in addition to his parents, wife, and children, Mr. Neidenbach leaves behind
many who will cherish his memory, including his brother and sister-in-law, Tony
and Ann Neidenbach, and their children, Audrey and Sam; his brother and
sister-in-law, Peter and Beth Neidenbach, and their children, Charles, Sarah
Glenn, Charlotte, and Thomas; his in-laws, Elizabeth Ann and Ed Cassady; and his
brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Michael and Mary Reins, and their son Byron;
and
WHEREAS,
he gave inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern
for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding he
demonstrated to his family and friends were admired by others; and
WHEREAS,
he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness and, by the example he made of
his life, he made this world a better place in which to live; and
WHEREAS,
a compassionate and generous man, Mr. Neidenbach will long be remembered for his
love of family and friendship, and this loyal son, husband, father, brother,
uncle, and friend will be missed by all who had the great fortune of knowing
him.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join in honoring the life and memory of Mr. Michael "Mickey" Eugene
Neidenbach and express their deepest and most sincere regret at his
passing.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of
Mr. Michael "Mickey" Eugene Neidenbach.
