A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Mrs. Deborah A. Anglin; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Mrs. Deborah A. Anglin has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the education of the students of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Anglin has dedicated her time, talents, and energy for over 20 years to high-risk youth, providing alternative education methods that combine education with life coping and career readiness skills; and

WHEREAS, she is the founder and executive director of Hearts to Nourish Hope, Inc., which provides students working to obtain their GED with the skills necessary to succeed in life; and

WHEREAS, through her work at Hearts to Nourish Hope, Mrs. Anglin assists youth in developing a career plan, gives them skills to turn that plan into reality, and then supports them during their plan implementation; and

WHEREAS, a black belt in Tang Soo Do, Mrs. Anglin has also owned and operated a school for the martial arts; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Anglin has been recognized with numerous honors and accolades, including an Outstanding Servant-Leadership Award for a Community Nonprofit; and

WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the extraordinary accomplishments of this distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Mrs. Deborah A. Anglin for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia; recognize the positive influence she has had upon the lives and futures of countless young people in this state; and extend to her their most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Deborah A. Anglin.
