RESOLUTION
Honoring
the life and memory of Mrs. Amy Julia Moore Talley; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens
with the untimely passing of Mrs. Amy Julia Moore Talley on March 7, 2009;
and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Talley was born on September 4, 1973, in Atlanta, Georgia, a beloved
daughter of the late Alma Jean White and Curt Moore and step-daughter of Martha
Moore; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Talley earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from North Georgia
College, was an active member of the Young Republican Party of Hall County, and
worked as a paralegal in Gainesville; and
WHEREAS,
a woman of deep and abiding faith, Mrs. Talley was a member of Chicopee Baptist
Church and cherished all animals, especially her cats; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Talley was united in love and marriage to Joseph Warren Talley, Jr., and
was blessed with two wonderful stepsons, Scott and Wes; and
WHEREAS,
she gave inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern
for her fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding she
demonstrated to her family and friends was admired by others; and
WHEREAS,
she was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness and, by the example she made of
her life, she made this world a better place in which to live; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Talley will long be remembered for her love of family and friendship, and
this loyal daughter, wife, and friend will be missed by all who had the great
fortune of knowing her.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join in honoring the life and memory of Mrs. Amy Julia Moore Talley
and express their deepest and most sincere regret at her passing.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of
Mrs. Amy Julia Moore Talley.
