RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending the Psi State Georgia chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society
International for 75 years of service to the students of Georgia by dedicated
women educators; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International promotes professional and personal
growth of women educators and excellence in education; and
WHEREAS,
students in Georgia from grades preschool through college have been impacted by
the dedicated members of Psi State Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
Psi State Georgia actively promotes education by awarding scholarships to
members to further their education on the chapter, state, and international
levels; and
WHEREAS,
the society has been recognized for publication of research in a juried journal,
for its involvement in many projects, such as Books for Babies, and its aid and
assistance given to members in the State of Georgia during emergencies;
and
WHEREAS,
the society has established a foundation dedicated to awarding grants to
Georgians for the betterment of education in our state and is recognized for its
leadership in providing for women educators in the State of
Georgia.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commends the Psi State Georgia chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society
International for 75 years of dedicated service to women educators in
Georgia.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Psi State
Georgia chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.
