A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending Mrs. Jeanette Oppenheimer Tabak on the occasion of her 91st birthday; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Mrs. Jeanette Oppenheimer Tabak was born on March 11, 1920, in Butte, Montana, and this year, she enjoys the rare distinction of celebrating her 91st birthday; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Tabak is the granddaughter of Morris Dawson, who fought in the "War to Prevent Southern Independence" as a captain of Company A of the 32nd Georgia Infantry and served in the Georgia House of Representatives as a representative of Emanuel County; and

WHEREAS, a resident of Jacksonville, Florida, Mrs. Tabak was united in love and marriage to Martin Tabak on April 15, 1954, and enjoyed a wonderful 44 years with him until his passing; and

WHEREAS, she has been blessed with three remarkable children, Sandy, Marcia, and Gabriel, and is the proud grandmother of three grandchildren, Daniel Tabak, Joey Webman, and Adam Webman; and

WHEREAS, the devotion, patience, and understanding she has demonstrated have provided the foundation and framework of success in which her family members have developed and flourished; and

WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Tabak possesses the vast wisdom which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved through overcoming the many challenges of life; and
WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and

WHEREAS, a kind and generous woman, Mrs. Tabak brings joy and happiness to her many friends, neighbors, and family members who have the great pleasure of knowing her; and

WHEREAS, by the example Mrs. Tabak has made of her life, she makes this world a better place in which to live, and it is only fitting and proper that she be appropriately recognized during this very special and memorable time of her life.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Mrs. Jeanette Oppenheimer Tabak for her unselfish, dedicated, and loving service to the members of her family; congratulate her on the remarkable occasion of her 91st birthday; and extend to her their most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Jeanette Oppenheimer Tabak.
