RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Fellowship Bible Baptist Church; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Lord God Almighty led a young preacher named Willie L. Reid, Sr., from
Eatonton, Georgia, to establish a place of worship in Warner Robins on the
second Sunday in February of 1980; and
WHEREAS,
the seeds which were sown by the loving and humble efforts of the devoted
original worshipers of Fellowship Bible Baptist Church have blossomed,
establishing a rich tradition and history; and
WHEREAS,
Fellowship Bible Baptist Church has grown in size over the years, requiring the
worship services to be relocated to newer and bigger buildings; and
WHEREAS,
in 2004, the church opened its Fellowship Hall which includes a state of the art
kitchen, elegant pastoral suite and conference room, office space for the church
staff, and a 220 person dining hall, helping the Word of God to spread even
further throughout the community; and
WHEREAS,
the congregation of this church has compiled an unparalleled record of
constructive, compassionate, and humanitarian service which it demonstrates
daily through open minds, open hearts, and open doors; and
WHEREAS,
members of Fellowship Bible Baptist Church have a sincere desire to serve the
Lord and are wholeheartedly committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ;
and
WHEREAS,
Fellowship Bible Baptist Church has grown over the last 30 years from a family
of two to well over 2,500 members and they continually strive to meet the needs
of those in the community and provide a place where all can join together to
worship Jesus Christ; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message
of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for its innumerable good works
rendered on behalf of persons in need.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body recognize the rich history of Fellowship Bible Baptist Church, commend
its over 30 years of dedicated service to the Lord and community, and extend
their warmest best wishes for its continued growth and success.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Fellowship
Bible Baptist Church's Reverend Willie L. Reid, Sr.
