A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending Mr. Mark and Mrs. Crystal Clay; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Mr. Mark and Mrs. Crystal Clay have shared their musical talent and compositions with the congregation of Lakewood Baptist Church for 14 years; and

WHEREAS, with more than three decades of Christian musical experience apiece, the Clays have utilized their skill and love of music to reach out to their community and preach of the love and lessons of Christ; and

WHEREAS, the Clays have long been recognized by their community for the vital role that they have played in leadership and their deep personal commitment to the word of God; and

WHEREAS, their innovative and spiritual musical presentations are popular throughout the state and include patriotic celebrations honoring veterans and those currently in the armed services, remembrances of September 11, groundbreaking and expansion celebrations, church anniversaries, and annual Christmas and Easter performances; and

WHEREAS, the Clays demonstrate magnanimous spiritual strength and have an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments and musical contributions of this remarkable couple be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Mark and Crystal Clay for their uplifting, joyous, unselfish, and dedicated service to Lakewood Baptist Church and their community.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. and Mrs. Clay.
