A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending Ms. Jo Ann Jackson on the occasion of her retirement; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Ms. Jo Ann Jackson has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time, talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as evidenced dramatically by 32 years of superlative service with the Berrien County Farm Service Agency; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Jackson's significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable patience and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates; and

WHEREAS, the daughter of Charlie and Alma Ruth Jackson, Ms. Jackson is the proud mother of two remarkable children, Keith and Kim Lyle, and she has been blessed with four grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Jackson is a talented hairstylist, spending her weekends for the last 30 years pleasing customers with her amazing abilities and witty personality; and

WHEREAS, a woman of deep and abiding faith, Ms. Jackson is an active member of New Bethel Baptist Church, where she has served as church secretary for many years; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Jackson has served with honor and distinction with the Berrien County Farm Service Agency, and her vision and unyielding commitment will be sorely missed upon the occasion of her retirement; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Ms. Jo Ann Jackson for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia; congratulate her upon the grand occasion of her retirement; and extend to her their most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Jo Ann Jackson.
