RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mr. Frank Johnson, outstanding Georgia citizen, on the occasion
of his retirement; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. Frank Johnson is a long-time resident of Georgia, and was born on June 30,
1925, in Alma; and
WHEREAS,
this young brave hero left Georgia to courageously serve his fellow Americans in
the United States Army during World War II; and
WHEREAS,
upon returning from active duty, he attended the University of Georgia where he
graduated with a degree in pharmacy; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Johnson diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his
time, talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state as a
professional and through his significant leadership role in health services;
and
WHEREAS,
his dedication to his community is further demonstrated by his faithful service
to the Gideon church and ministry, his active service as the president for the
Waycross Camp, and his involvement as a founder of the Baxley Camp;
and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Johnson's significant organizational and leadership talents, his remarkable
patience and diplomacy, his keen sense of vision, and his sensitivity to the
needs of the citizens of this state have earned him the respect and admiration
of his colleagues and associates; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Frank Johnson is a person with an unimpeachable reputation for his
integrity, intelligence, and kindness; and he is dearly loved by his family,
friends, and all those who have the pleasure of knowing him;
and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.

NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Mr. Frank Johnson for his efficient, effective, unselfish, and
dedicated public service to his community and the State of Georgia; congratulate
him on his retirement; and extend to him their most sincere best wishes for
continued health and happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Frank
Johnson.
