RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Ms. Cee' Cee' Anderson; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Ms. Cee' Cee' Anderson was born in Atlanta, Georgia, a beloved daughter of the
late Wilbert Q. Newton and Hattie Prothro Newton; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Anderson has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the
vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to
the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
she has played an instrumental role with the NAACP of Clayton County and worked
on Events and WIN, Women In The NAACP, and served as district coordinator and
Georgia State WIN chairwoman; and
WHEREAS,
she was a special education teacher and personal care home provider and is
currently a women and children advocate, a founding member of the FAST Panel -
Juvenile Services, Citizens Review, and CASA of Clayton County; and
WHEREAS,
she has sponsored several programs concerning domestic violence, homelessness,
women in transition, health and wellness, and AIDS and HIV; and
WHEREAS,
a woman of deep and abiding faith, Ms. Anderson has served as associate minister
of Holy Zion Center of Deliverance Church for many years; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Anderson's significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable
patience and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the
needs of the citizens of this state have earned her the respect and admiration
of her colleagues and associates; and
WHEREAS,
she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Ms. Cee' Cee' Anderson for her efficient, effective,
unselfish, and dedicated public service to Clayton County and the State of
Georgia and extend to her their most sincere best wishes for continued health
and happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Cee' Cee'
Anderson.
