RESOLUTION
Commending
Henry Furtick; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Henry Furtick is recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital role
that he has played in community leadership and his deep personal commitment to
the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time,
talents, and energy toward the betterment of this state as evidenced
dramatically by his superlative service as a legislative intern during the 2010
Regular Session of the General Assembly of Georgia for the House Committee on
Ways and Means; and
WHEREAS,
his equanimity, professionalism, and good will served him in good stead as he
exercised his many duties on behalf of all of the members of this body and in
particular the gentleman from the 146th District; and
WHEREAS,
this superlative scholar is currently a senior at the Georgia Institute of
Technology, College of Public Policy where he is continuing his studies in
politics, policy, technology, and programming; and
WHEREAS,
his significant organizational and leadership talents, his remarkable patience
and diplomacy, his keen sense of vision, and his sensitivity to the needs of the
members of the General Assembly have earned him the respect and admiration of
his colleagues and associates; and
WHEREAS,
he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; his loyalty, competency,
reliability, and enthusiasm have distinguished his superior service to this
state; and his friendship is counted by everyone under the Gold Dome as a
special experience they will always treasure; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Henry Furtick for his efficient, effective, unselfish, and
dedicated public service to the citizens of this state and extend to him their
most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House is authorized and directed to
transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Henry Furtick.
