RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending the 2010 Temporary Administrative Assistants for the House of
Representatives; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
each year the Georgia House of Representatives relies on the citizens of Georgia
who are interested in the legislative process to work as temporary
administrative assistants to the members of the House; and
WHEREAS,
these dedicated individuals come from across this state to assist elected
officials with constituent services, daily schedules, office organization, and
legislative matters; and
WHEREAS,
the House of Representatives is able to run smoothly and efficiently thanks to
these amazing professionals; and
WHEREAS,
the 2010 Temporary Administrative Assistants have demonstrated a commitment to
provide superior service with a courteous and helpful demeanor and their
tireless public service has set the standard for excellence; and
WHEREAS,
the House of Representatives salute the 2010 Temporary Administrative
Assistants: Betty Arrington, Ruth Berg, Jason Chapman, Elena Chappell, Nicole
Chappelle, Leigh Goff, Laverne Hendon, Courtney King, Jacqueline Leathers,
Charlotte Luke, Lynn McKenzie, Karen Merriam, Anne Parker-Dockins, and Allyson
Perkins; and
WHEREAS,
these distinguished Georgians' hard work and dedication have been enormous
assets to the citizens of Georgia, and all the members of the General Assembly
greatly appreciate the invaluable service of administrative assistants who
enable their business to run smoothly and successfully.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend the Temporary Administrative Assistants for the 2010 regular
session on their superb performance and convey their best wishes to each of them
for success and happiness in their future pursuits.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to each of the
2010 Temporary Administrative Assistants.
