RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mr. Kevin Cole; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. Kevin Cole has earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the state's
finest art teachers and as a person who has instilled a strong sense of pride,
respect, creativity, and persistence in countless students; and
WHEREAS,
as a teacher of fine arts at Westlake High School in Fulton County, Georgia, he
encourages students to believe in themselves, to pursue every opportunity for
personal growth, to make a commitment to excellence in every aspect of their
lives, and to develop a love of learning and art which will be beneficial to
them throughout their lives; and
WHEREAS,
he has received numerous honors, including Teacher of the Year many times, TBS
Super Teacher of the Year, Georgia Secondary Teacher of the Year, and S.E.
Regional Art Teacher of the Year; and
WHEREAS,
an artist himself, Mr. Cole has demonstrated the highest degree of professional
competence and a natural ability to relate to young people and motivate them to
accomplish their goals; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the extraordinary accomplishments and
artistic achievements of this outstanding individual be appropriately
recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Mr. Kevin Cole for his sacrifice, foresight, accomplishment,
and contributions on behalf of education and art to students in
Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Kevin
Cole.
