RESOLUTION
Celebrating
the birth of Hobson "Hobby" Ware Houston; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the months of anticipation and excitement shared by expectant parents are always
a cherished memory; and
WHEREAS,
for Miranda Ware Hancock Houston and Arthur Adams Houston, those months ended on
July 20, 2009, when they became the proud parents of their breathtaking baby,
Hobson "Hobby" Ware Houston; and
WHEREAS,
this delightful child will be called Hobby, in honor of her great-grandfather,
Rudolph Hobson "Hobby" Hancock; and
WHEREAS,
her extremely proud grandparents are Marla Ware Brown Hancock, Randolph Walters
Hancock, Representative Penny Perryman Houston, and Norman George Houston III;
and
WHEREAS,
Hobby made her entrance into the world at Tift Regional Medical Center and was
greeted by a large group of friends and family, including additional grandmother
Martha Jo West; and
WHEREAS,
Hobby's great-grandparents include Ruby Smith Brown, Dr. Erwin Harold Brown,
Lullene Walters Hancock, Rudolph Hobson "Hobby" Hancock, Frances Hammond
Perryman, Richard Lowery Perryman, Mary Erneste Perry Houston, and Dr. Norman
George Houston, Jr.; and
WHEREAS,
the devotion, patience, and understanding that Miranda and Arthur demonstrate
daily provide the foundation and framework of love and success in which Hobby
will develop and flourish; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the birth of one of this state's newest
citizens be recognized in an appropriate manner.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body recognize the very happy occasion of the birth of Hobson "Hobby" Ware
Houston and extend to her their most sincere best wishes for a long and healthy
life and great happiness and success.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Miranda and
Arthur Houston.
