A RESOLUTION


Commending Ms. Helen D. Jenkins for her outstanding public service; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Ms. Helen D. Jenkins was born in Thomasville, Alabama, and has been a productive and magnanimous member of the Pittsburgh, Georgia, community for over 20 years; and

WHEREAS, for the past 13 years, Ms. Jenkins has dedicated her talents and efforts to Pittsburgh, serving as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Community Improvement Association, Inc., since 2002; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Jenkins's commitment and leadership has resulted in an incredible transformation of the organization, including her selection of Mr. LaShawn M. Hoffman for the position of CEO; and

WHEREAS, her active involvement with board committees and willingness to tackle any obstacle or task has made Ms. Jenkins's service vital to the Pittsburgh community and its citizens; and

WHEREAS, her significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable patience and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates; and

WHEREAS, she has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting that this body express its appreciation to Ms. Helen D. Jenkins for the great credit she reflects on her community and this state.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Ms. Helen D. Jenkins for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to her community.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Helen Jenkins.
