A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Mrs. Linda H. Parker; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Mrs. Linda H. Parker has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Parker provided invaluable support to the Georgia Republican Study Committee (GRSC) for the 2010 legislative session; and

WHEREAS, this dedicated leader was instrumental in the formation of the GRSC, working diligently prior to the 2010 legislative session to bring together key players, coordinate meetings, and compose bylaws for the organization; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Parker used her many contacts and years of experience within the Georgia Republican Party to obtain support for the GRSC, including from the United States House of Representatives; and

WHEREAS, her significant organizational talents and administrative skills were instrumental in keeping the GRSC on top of hundreds of pieces of legislation; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Parker diligently and conscientiously devoted countless volunteer hours of her time, talents, and energy to the efficient management of the GRSC, many hours of which were inconveniently very early or very late in the day; and

WHEREAS, through her dedicated efforts, Mrs. Parker enabled the GRSC to offer a powerful influence on the legislative process in the Georgia House of Representatives; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the extraordinary accomplishments of this distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Mrs. Linda H. Parker on her efficient, effective, and selfless service to the Georgia Republican Study Committee and recognize the tremendous impact her efforts have had upon this legislative body.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Linda H. Parker.
