RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Spring Hill Elementary School for outstanding contributions to
education in the State of Georgia and excellence in student academic
achievement; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
under the Georgia Single Statewide Accountability System, schools throughout
this state are graded on their success in meeting academic goals by the Georgia
Department of Education and the Governor's Office of Student Achievement;
and
WHEREAS,
only a few of this state's schools qualify to receive Platinum, Gold, Silver, or
Bronze recognition on the basis of the high percentage of students meeting and
exceeding standards; and
WHEREAS,
Spring Hill Elementary School has been named as one of these outstanding schools
for the 2010-2011 school year, receiving the Silver Award; and
WHEREAS,
this award reflects the results of the exemplary endeavors of the school's
students, the dedication of their teachers and faculty, and the many
contributions of their parents.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Spring Hill Elementary School for its outstanding
contributions to education in the State of Georgia and its excellence in student
academic achievement and recognize the great credit this fine school reflects
upon Fayette County and the State of Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Spring Hill
Elementary School.
