A RESOLUTION

Compensating SunCorp Property Services, LLC; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, SunCorp Property Services, LLC, (SunCorp) is the owner of a former Winn Dixie grocery building in Waycross, Georgia; and

WHEREAS, on April 21, 2007, vehicles being used by the Georgia Forestry Commission to fight forest fires in the area used the parking lot of the building owned by SunCorp and knocked down one light pole and damaged another light pole; and

WHEREAS, the Georgia Forestry Commission admitted to causing the damage and agreed to reimburse SunCorp for the repair of the poles; and

WHEREAS, such losses occurred through no fault or negligence whatsoever on the part of SunCorp, and SunCorp allowed the free use of its parking lot by the Georgia Forestry Commission for its vehicles associated with fighting the forest fires in Ware County; as such, it is only fitting and proper that SunCorp be compensated for its losses.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA that the Georgia Forestry Commission is authorized and directed to pay the sum of $17,925.00 to SunCorp Property Services, LLC, as compensation as provided above. Said sum shall be paid from funds appropriated to or available to said Georgia Forestry Commission and shall be in full and complete satisfaction of all claims against the state arising out of said occurrence.
