A
RESOLUTION
Commending
Mr. James H. Bryan, Jefferson High School's 2010 STAR Teacher; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most
important objective of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. James H. Bryan has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for
the vital role that he has played in the teaching profession and his deep
personal commitment to the education of the students of Georgia;
and
WHEREAS,
a 1973 graduate of Jefferson High School, Mr. Bryan attended Young Harris
College and earned bachelor's, master's, and specialist degrees from the
University of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
in addition to inspiring the future leaders of this state in the classroom, Mr.
Bryan has motivated and challenged students as a junior varsity and varsity
tennis coach, leading his teams to state playoffs since 2002 and amassing one
semi-final finish and three Elite 8, ten Sweet 16, three regional championship,
and six runner-up regional championship finishes during his coaching career;
and
WHEREAS,
he is united in love and marriage to his wife, Renee, and they have been blessed
with two children, William and Elizabeth; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Bryan has earned distinction and numerous awards for teaching excellence as
a result of his dedication to his students and his profession and has been
honored as Jefferson High School's 2010 STAR Teacher; and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of his contributions to the education and welfare of young people
in this state, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the
extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding
individual.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend heartily Mr. James H. Bryan, Jefferson High School's 2010 STAR
Teacher, and express to him their most sincere best wishes for continued success
in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. James H.
Bryan.
