BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Article 2 of Chapter 91 of Title 36 of the Official Code of Georgia
Annotated, relating to contracting and bidding, so as to provide that entities
submitting a bid for certain contracts shall disclose whether they will maintain
health insurance for their employees during the project for which the bid was
submitted; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for
other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Article
2 of Chapter 91 of Title 36 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating
to contracting and bidding, is amended by adding a new subsection to Code
Section 36-91-20, relating to written contract, advertising, competitive sealed
bidding requirements, and the timing of addendums and other prequalifications,
to read as follows:
"(g)
Any competitive sealed bid or competitive sealed proposal submitted by a bidder
or offeror pursuant to this article shall include whether the bidder or offeror
has and shall maintain health insurance coverage for its employees throughout
the term of the contract for which such bidder or offeror has submitted its
bid."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
