A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT

To amend an Act to create a new charter for the town of Dexter, in the county of Laurens, State of Georgia, approved August 15, 1910 (Ga. L. 1910, p. 600), as amended, so as to change the corporate limits of such municipality; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.

An Act to create a new charter for the City of Dexter, in the county of Laurens, State of Georgia, approved August 15, 1910 (Ga. L. 1910, p. 600), as amended, is amended by revising Section 3 as follows:

"SECTION 3.

Be it further enacted, that the corporate limits of said town of Dexter shall be one-half mile in any direction from the depot warehouse on the Wrightsville and Tennille Railroad and, in addition to the territory included within the existing corporate boundaries of the town of Dexter, the following described territory shall also be included within the corporate boundaries of the town of Dexter:

All that tract or parcel of land lying or located in the 344th GMD in Land Lots 154, 177, and 178 of the 18th Land District of Laurens County, Georgia, being more particularly described as follows:

Beginning at an iron pin, said point having a North Coordinate of 892,567.071 and an East Coordinate of 394,098.055, and thence running South 88 degrees 57 minutes 15 seconds east along the southern boundary of Springhaven Road a distance of 1,697.09 feet to a #5 rebar with yellow kap set; thence running South 01 degree 09 minutes 17 seconds west a distance of 216.72 feet to a #5 rebar with yellow kap set; thence running South 64 degrees 33 minutes 40 seconds east a distance of 252.87 feet to a point on the western boundary of the Dublin Eastman Road; thence running South 25 degrees 21 minutes 48 seconds west along the western boundary of the Dublin Eastman Road a distance of 1,411.84 feet to a point; thence running North 85 degrees 24 minutes 22 seconds west a distance of 448.72 feet to an iron pin with a North Coordinate of 890,970.989 and an East Coordinate of 394,966.793; thence running South 46 degrees 22 minutes 12 seconds west a distance of 191.70 feet to a #5 rebar with yellow kap set; thence along a curve to the left on the northern boundary of Mark Woods Road with a radius of 1,190.07 feet, an arc length of 332.61 feet, a chord length of 331.53 feet, a chord bearing North 55 degrees 10 minutes 00 seconds west, and a delta angle 16 degrees 00 minutes 48 seconds to a point; thence running North 63 degrees 10 minutes 24 seconds west along the northern boundary of Mark Woods Road a distance of 526.23 feet to a point; thence along a curve to the left on the northern boundary of Mark Woods Road a radius of 5,790.35 feet, an arc length of 202.12 feet, a chord length of 202.11 feet, a chord bearing North 64 degrees 10 minutes 24 seconds west, and a delta angle 02 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds to a point; thence running North 65 degrees 10 minutes 24 seconds west along the northern boundary of Mark Woods Road a distance of 1,610.78 feet to a point; thence along a curve to the right on the northern boundary of Mark Woods Road with a radius of 343.36 feet, an arc length of 115.12, a chord length of 114.58 feet, a chord bearing North 55 degrees 34 minutes 06 seconds west, and a delta angle 19 degrees 12 minutes 35 seconds to a #5 rebar with yellow kap set at the intersection of Mark Woods Road and Georgia Highway #257; thence running North 68 degrees 56 minutes 10 seconds east along the southern boundary of Georgia Highway #257 a distance of 1,243.93 feet to an iron pin; thence running North 68 degrees 57 minutes 56 seconds east a distance of 95.54 feet to an iron pin at the intersection of Georgia Highway #257 and Springhaven Road; thence running South 88 degrees 57 minutes 15 seconds east a distance of 500.18 feet along the southern boundary of Springhaven Road to an iron pin which is the point of beginning.

This property is more particularly described according to a Plat of Survey prepared by Flanders & Associates, Inc., dated February 27, 2006, a copy of said Plat being recorded in Plat Book 9, Page 674B, Laurens County, Georgia."

SECTION 2.

All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
