A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT


To amend an Act to create a charter for the Town of Gray in the County of Jones and the State of Georgia, approved August 22, 1911 (Ga. L. 1911, p. 1267), as amended, so as to provide for the powers of the mayor; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
An Act to create a charter for the Town of Gray in the County of Jones and the State of Georgia, approved August 22, 1911 (Ga. L. 1911, p. 1267), as amended, is amended by revising Section 13 as follows:

"SECTION 13.
The mayor shall:
(1) Be the chief executive officer of the city;
(2) See that the laws and ordinances, rules, and orders of the mayor and council are executed;
(3) Be the head of the city for the service of process; and
(4) Sign as a matter of course on behalf of the city all written and approved contracts, ordinances, and other instruments executed by the city which are required by law to be in writing."

SECTION 2.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
