A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT

To prohibit the placement or operation of telecommunications towers on certain public school property within DeKalb County; to provide for an effective date and applicability; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.

Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, no telecommunications tower shall be placed or operated on any public elementary, middle, or high school property owned or controlled by any local or independent school system in DeKalb County or on any property owned by a charter school within DeKalb County.

SECTION 2.

This Act shall not be applied to impair any obligation of contract entered into prior to the date this Act becomes effective.

SECTION 3.

All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
