BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act creating the Town of Braselton Community Improvement District,
approved May 29, 2007 (Ga. L. 2007, p. 4100), so as to allow the district to
apply for, receive, administer, or utilize grants from federal, state, county,
or municipal governments or agencies or any other public sources under certain
conditions; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and
for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act creating the Town of Braselton Community Improvement District, approved May
29, 2007 (Ga. L. 2007, p. 4100), is amended by revising paragraph (8) of
subsection (a) of Section 10, to read as follows:
"(8)
Make application directly or indirectly to any private source for loans, grants,
guarantees, or other financial assistance in furtherance of the district's
public purposes and to accept and use the same upon such terms and conditions as
are prescribed by such private source. The district and the board shall have
the power to apply for, receive, administer, or utilize grants from federal,
state, county, or municipal governments or agencies or any other public sources,
provided that the Town of Braselton consents to such grant through approval of
its town council;"
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective upon its approval by the Governor or upon its
becoming law without such approval.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
