Summary

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 1 of Chapter 4 of Title 49 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions for public assistance, so as to increase self-sufficiency through a state-wide work requirement for able-bodied, covered individuals under the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program; to prohibit the use of waivers and no-good-cause exemptions for the work requirement; to provide for mandatory participation for covered individuals in existing employment and training programs; to provide for applicability; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
