Summary

A BILL to be entitled an Act to provide a short title; to amend Title 33 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to insurance, so as to provide an exemption from insurance laws for certain physician arrangements; to revise certain premium taxes; to provide the Commissioner of Insurance with certain duties and powers regarding comprehensive major medical plans; to provide that insurers may offer additional health improvement incentives; to provide for certain standards for preferred provider arrangements; to amend Title 48 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to revenue and taxation, so as to provide for certain income tax deductions for certain insurance premiums; to provide for an effective date and applicability; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
