Summary

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Title 50 of the O.C.G.A., relating to state government, so as to provide for pari-mutuel wagering or betting on horse racing in this state; to provide for the establishment of the Georgia Racing Commission; to establish and provide for the Georgia Breeders Funds; to enter into the Interstate Compact on Licensure of Participants in Live Racing with Pari-mutuel Wagering; to provide for the appointment of members of the compact committee; to prohibit certain conduct and provide for penalties; to provide for related matters; to provide for a contingent effective date and repeal under certain circumstances; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
