A BILL to be entitled an Act to provide a new charter for the City of Meigs in Thomas County, Georgia and Mitchell County, Georgia; to provide for boundaries and powers of the city; to provide for a governing authority of such city and the powers, duties, authority, election, terms, method of filling vacancies, compensation, qualifications, prohibitions, and removal from office relative to members of such governing authority; to provide for definitions and construction; to provide for other matters relative to the foregoing; to repeal a specific Act; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
