    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to fees; amending s. 501.9745, F.S.;
    3         requiring processors that sell kratom products at
    4         retail to pay an annual registration fee to the
    5         Department of Agricultural and Consumer Services;
    6         providing a contingent effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. Subsection (3) of section 501.9745, Florida
   11  Statutes, as created by SB ___, 2021 Regular Session, is amended
   12  to read:
   13         501.9745 Florida Kratom Consumer Protection Act.—
   14         (3) A processor must be registered with the department to
   15  sell kratom products at retail. The processor must pay an annual
   16  registration fee of $500 to the department.
   17         Section 2. This act shall take effect on the same date that
   18  SB ___ or similar legislation takes effect, if such legislation
   19  is adopted in the same legislative session or an extension
   20  thereof and becomes a law.
