    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to the Reemployment Assistance Claims
    3         and Benefits Information System; amending s. 443.1113,
    4         F.S.; requiring, by a specified date, that the system
    5         allow claimants to use a mobile device to take certain
    6         actions and obtain specified information; providing an
    7         effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. Paragraph (h) is added to subsection (1) of
   12  section 443.1113, Florida Statutes, to read:
   13         443.1113 Reemployment Assistance Claims and Benefits
   14  Information System.—
   15         (1) The Department of Economic Opportunity shall implement
   16  an integrated, modular system hosted in a cloud computing
   17  service, as defined in s. 282.0041, that provides for rapid
   18  provisioning of additional data processing when necessary. The
   19  system must support the efficient distribution of benefits and
   20  the effective operation and management of the reemployment
   21  assistance program. The system may be cited as the “Reemployment
   22  Assistance Claims and Benefits Information System” and must:
   23         (h)No later than the end of fiscal year 2024-2025, allow
   24  claimants to use their mobile devices to:
   25         1.File reemployment assistance claims;
   26         2.View all claim information in one convenient place, 24
   27  hours a day, 7 days a week;
   28         3.Update information, including addresses and telephone
   29  numbers, at any time;
   30         4.Choose to receive notifications from the department
   31  electronically or by United States mail;
   32         5.Establish or cancel payments by debit card or direct
   33  deposit;
   34         6.Create or change personal identification numbers;
   35         7.Get claim and payment information, request benefits, and
   36  print tax forms; and
   37         8.Submit work search contacts.
   38         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022.
