    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to arrests; amending s. 901.15, F.S.;
    3         authorizing warrantless arrests when a law enforcement
    4         officer has probable cause to believe that a minor has
    5         violated s. 790.22, F.S.; providing an effective date.

    7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    8  
    9         Section 1. Subsection (17) is added to section 901.15,
   10  Florida Statutes, to read:
   11         901.15 When arrest by officer without warrant is lawful.—A
   12  law enforcement officer may arrest a person without a warrant
   13  when:
   14         (17) There is probable cause to believe that the person is
   15  a minor who has committed a criminal act in violation of s.
   16  790.22(3).
   17         Section 2. This act shall take effect October 1, 2020.
