    2         An act relating to the Hurricane Loss Mitigation
    3         Program; amending s. 215.559, F.S.; extending the
    4         repeal date of the program; deleting an obsolete
    5         provision relating to the use of funds for programs to
    6         retrofit certain existing facilities; providing an
    7         effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. Subsections (8) and (9) of section 215.559,
   12  Florida Statutes, are amended to read:
   13         215.559 Hurricane Loss Mitigation Program.—
   14         (8)(a) Notwithstanding any other provision of this section
   15  and for the 2010-2011 fiscal year only, the $3 million
   16  appropriation provided for in paragraph (2)(b) may be used for
   17  hurricane shelters as identified in the General Appropriations
   18  Act.
   19         (b) This subsection expires June 30, 2011.
   20         (8)(9) This section is repealed June 30, 2021 2011.
   21         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2011.
