    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to the Alligator Alley toll road;
    3         amending s. 338.26, F.S.; requiring specified fees to
    4         be used indefinitely, instead of temporarily, to
    5         reimburse a local governmental entity for the direct
    6         actual costs of operating a specified fire station;
    7         providing an effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. Paragraph (a) of subsection (3) of section
   12  338.26, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
   13         338.26 Alligator Alley toll road.—
   14         (3)(a) Fees generated from tolls shall be deposited in the
   15  State Transportation Trust Fund and shall be used:
   16         1. To reimburse outstanding contractual obligations;
   17         2. To operate and maintain the highway and toll facilities,
   18  including reconstruction and restoration;
   19         3. To pay for those projects that are funded with Alligator
   20  Alley toll revenues and that are contained in the 1993-1994
   21  adopted work program or the 1994-1995 tentative work program
   22  submitted to the Legislature on February 22, 1994; and
   23         4. By interlocal agreement effective July 1, 2014, through
   24  no later than June 30, 2019, to reimburse a county or another
   25  local governmental entity for the direct actual costs of
   26  operating the fire station at mile marker 63 on Alligator Alley,
   27  which may be used by a county or another local governmental
   28  entity to provide fire, rescue, and emergency management
   29  services to the public on Alligator Alley.
   30         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2019.
